Operating systems, which are the most fundamental and important aspect of the overall system, include the core operating system programs and hardware configuration and basic utilities of the operating system.OS research is a highly specialized field of computer science that focus on OS development and in particular the use of languages, language designs, and runtime libraries, to develop large scale complex operating systems. The major goal of any OS research project is to create a modern, effective, scalable, extensible operating system with minimum effort from the programmer. OS research encompasses all types of software, ranging from the humble graphical user interface (GUI) to very sophisticated UNIX or Linux based applications.OS research is designed to give programm ers the ability to easily create new applications that utilize software features, languages, and toolkits common to many different types of operating systems. The goal of OS research is to be able to make a large number of independent software applications that all work well together using a single high level programming language.OS research can be defined as the study of how to produce reliable applications with minimal effort on the part of the programmer. The main goal of OS research is to make it possible to develop reliable applications in a short amount of time with low memory usage.
